Amenities include a pool, hot tub and sauna, internet access, ski storage, a free pancake breakfast and discount lift tickets'. Fernie is also equipped with a bright, open common area complete with a HUGE, new kitchen, dining areas and ski storage. Fernie is one of the biggest meccas in North America and is reknowned for it’s steep bowls and heavy snowfall. SameSun is the friendliest place in Fernie!

Please note that when you are reserving a room in a mixed dorm that you will be put into either a 4,6 or 8 bed mixed dorm.

DIRECTIONS

To get to SameSun Fernie by air:

· the two nearest airport are located at Calgary and Cranbrook.
· another option may be to fly to Kelowna and then drive to Fernie.

To get to SameSun Fernie by land:

· on the main road through town, on the corner of 7th Ave. (Highway 3) and 9th St.
· 2 doors down from the Greyhound Depot (we have 24 hour check-in during the Winter season)
· 5 minute drive to the ski hill, daily shuttle available

The hostel is one block east from the bus station

The Raging Elk International Hostel is located in the heart of Fernie, famous for its powder skiing, and world class mountain biking. We have a large common kitchen fully loaded, TV, theater room, pool table, ping pong table private motel style rooms, semi-private rooms ( sleep 4-5 , own shower and toilet), dorm rooms (sleep 4-10 common showers, toilets).

Summer also rocks, with some of the best mountain biking in canada, hiking (without mass crowds), fly fishing (one of the top ten rivers in North America), golf and white water rafting. So as you can imagine, it's second heaven!

The Raging Elk is closed from 22nd of April until 1st of June Large Kitchen, Super large communal dinning areas, laundry, theatre style t.v room, pool table, internet, ski tunning room, in house massuse,sauna,back deck, wood barbicue,day excursions to local attractions in our powder hunter bus, ski shuttle service
