DIRECTIONS

We are only 65 kilometers away from San Jose or 45 km from the international Juan Santamaria Airport. You must take the inter-American highway and turn right at the “cruce de manolos”, following the route to go to Jaco Beach. Once you reach San Mateo’s park it is 2.5 KMs West from its Northeast corner. You will be able to find our sign at the street and from there it is only 400 meters on a ballast street.

By bus you can take Jacó Beach and Carara Biological Station Daily express which departs from San José, Terminal Coca Cola, at 7:30, 10:30, 15:30; returning at 5:00, 11:00, 15:00, 102 km, 2 1/2 hours aprox. Transportes Morales S.A., Telephone (506) 223-5567.

From the airport you can take Jaco beach, Carara Biological Station, Orotina and San Mateo buses, they all have stops at the airport. Ask in the airport for the closest station.

IMPORTANT: Upon arrival to the airport, take the orange taxis only, which are the official ones. This service is very safe and easy: when you go out the front door, turn left and you will see a window where they sell tickets for the orange taxis. Ask for a taxi to Hotel Pacande (YOU DON´T NEED TO PAY, THE HOTEL PAYS). Once you get to our hotel reception, we will bring you to the villa. For your own safety, do not take any other taxis from the airport. Please be very careful with this.

By public bus:
The buses stop in front of the airport (yellow or red bus). Take the buses going to Alajuela, tell the bus driver to stop you at the entrance of the new hospital of Alajuela (Parar en la entrada del Hospital nuevo de Alajuela). We are located 50 mts west from the main entrance of the NEW Hospital of Alajuela, hostel is in a corner. Bus Rate About $0.75.

By public or Airport taxi:
Public taxis color red, airport taxis color orange, tell the taxi driver to take you to: Maleku Hostel 50 mts oeste de la entrada principal del Hospital NUEVO de Alajuela, Casa esquinera. Rate about $4.

Note: If you take a taxi to get here, the taxi drivers will try to take you to a different Hotel or Hostel, they will always tell you that we are full or close. Don't believe them, change taxi or give us a call.
If you take a red cab, always ask to set up 'La maria' (Poner 'la Maria' por favor ). That way you will know how much is the ride and they won't charge you more.

Property Description
Go2hostel is located just 10 minutes away from our main International Airport in San Joaquin de Flores, close to Alajuela.

It is a very safe and quiet town, with local restaurants, drug stores, bakery, video stores and banks. You can walk from the hostel to the main street where you can find all these shops as well as the beautiful colonial church, over 100 years old and the “plaza”, the soccer field is right across from there.

Our two-storey property has a total of 11 rooms, a combination of hostel/ B&B. We have group rooms with private and shared bathrooms, all with hot water. We also offer 5 private bedrooms with their own bathroom.

Our rate includes continental breakfast and the kitchen is available for our guests to prepare lunch and/or dinner. Some of the local restaurants do deliver (pizza/chicken). Cable TV is available in the entertainment area as well as table tennis.

Laundry and dryer are available for a small fee. Public transportation passes in front of our property and starts running as early as 6 am on weekdays. The weather is usually warm and cool at nights. Rainy season in Costa Rica starts around May through November, a raincoat is suggested if you travel during this time. Dry season (our summer) is from early December to April.

If driving: Head East from the Airport, make a left on the first set of traffic lights, go straight and then immediately make a right going east. Keep going east on the main road (Calle Real). You will pass the main rent a car sites, continue east and you will see Florida Ice & Farm, Lovable, Megasuper (left) until you get to a traffic light across Musmani Bakery (on your right hand side). Make a left there and go straight (north) two blocks, you will find a stop sign, continue straight pass in front of town’s elementary school, (during weekdays from 7 am to 5pm the street in front of the school is closed for security purposes, should you find this, go left one block, turn right another block, and right again to the stop sign. Make a left and you will be back on the main road and follow the next directions) Continue two more blocks and make a left (you will see a sign of Llantas =Tires repaired and a sign Hacienda Las Flores). After turning left here, continue straight about the equivalent to 6 blocks. Our hostel is on the left hand side. A sign of Go2hostel is hanging from roof of driveway.

If taking a taxi: Tell the drive 200 mts Norte y 600 Oeste de la Escuela EE.UU. en San Joaquín de Flores, Heredia (200 mts North and 600 mts West from the elementary school in San Joaquin de Flores, Heredia). Taxis shouldn’t charge more than US$7.00 from the airport to our hostel. If a taxi driver tells you we are booked or closed, please check with us. Sometimes they let you borrow their cellular phone, call us first before letting the driver take you somewhere else.
