Property DescriptionCabot Trail Hostel is situated just outside of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park in Pleasant Bay, 5 to 6 hour drive from Halifax. Pleasant Bay is nestled between the Highlands of Cape Breton and is a nature-lovers haven. We are close to many excellent hiking trails and surrounded by wildlife. The sunsets are said to be some of the most spectacular found anywhere in Nova Scotia. There is a small store, restaurants and many shops of interest in the village. The nearest cash machines, gas stations, grocery and liquor store (beer store) are in Cheticamp. If you are traveling by car, you can tour any section on the Cabot Trail and be back at the hostel before dark. Because we are located halfway around the Cabot Trail, this is easily done. Information on areas of your interest are available at the hostel. If you are backpacking, we offer local tours to the best hiking found anywhere in Nova Scotia. We can arrange drop off by boat for day hikes for both Pollett's Cove and Fishing Cove. We offer Whale Watching Adventures tours by zodiac and can be booked at the hostel. Our price includes your bed for the night, all bed linen and duvets, hot showers, use of our facilities, BBQ, luggage storage and Internet access.  |
