Highbridge House at 146th street. Walk across for a coffee at “ Starbucks” or test your fitness at the New York health and racquet club or chase your money to ‘ Bank of America” and “ Chase Bank”!

One block from the subways A, B,C,D. Our other location is Highbridge House also listed on this site at 173rd street. Parking available right across the hostel for $10 per day.

DIRECTIONS

Our subway stop is 145th street on the blue line “C” which is local or ‘A” express line.The orange line “D and B” also brings you to our stop 145th street. 12 minutes from 42nd street Port Authority/Times Square subway and bus terminal.

From JFK airport:

Take the Air Train to Howard Beach/159th Avenue, a 12 minute ride. Transfer to “A” express going towards Inwood-207 Street /Broadway. Be in the back compartment of the subway. Get off at 146 th street stop. Look for the exit marked 145th and St.Nicholas Avenue. Take the left exit up the stairs and go past Edgecombe street until you reach Bradhurst avenue where you take a left . We are in the corner of 146th and Bradhurst - 307A Highbridge House. Travel cost per person from JFK to Howard Beach station via Air Train is $5. You pay additional $2.00 for the subway.
By Taxi generally a flat rate $45. ( subject to change) 45 minutes ride

From Newark airport:

Take the NJ Transit from the airport train terminal to 34th street Penn station, transfer to the “A” express going to Inwood-207 Street /Broadway. Be in the back compartment of the subway. Get off at 146 th street stop. Look for the exit marked 145th and St.Nicholas Avenue. From La Guardia airport:
Take the Bus M60 from La Guardia airport to 125th street. Transfer free with metrocard to the “A” express going to Inwood-207 Street /Broadway. Very nice place. Didn't seem as fun as some of the others, but definitely very safe and clean. The mattresses are made out of some sort of hard foam, which kind of sucks, but its still a very nice facility. They enforce quiet time after 10 PM so if you're a light sleeper looking for a tame, neat hostel, this is nice.

Really nice hostel, good staff very friendly though a little disorganized at times! nice place, clean and all new, some might think the area is a little sketchy but its fine really. more importantly its a bit too far uptown if your here for a downtown new york trip.
