Property DescriptionHostal del Peregrino is a beautiful colonial house renovated into a comfortable and clean hostel for the discriminating but frugal traveller. Located in the Centro Historico, Hostal del Peregrino is close enough to walk to the Center and to Paseo de Montejo but far enough from the Zocalo to enjoy a quieter neighborhood, with easy parking. Hostal del Peregrino gives you choices too! You can stay in a downstairs private room, with a private bathroom, cable television and ceiling fans. Some rooms even have air conditioning. If you are on a budget, you'll be more than comfortable in our dormitory beds. Custom-built closets serve as secure storage lockers. The dorm rooms are spacious with big windows and are on the second floor, providing easy access to the communal bathrooms and the terrace bar and patio. A delicious continental breakfast is included with all our rooms! From this central location, visit the sites of Merida and the surrounding area, including Chichen Itza, Izamal, Progreso, Dzabilchaltun, Uxmal, Celestun, Cenotes and more. We can help you organise eco-tours to these areas and some new places you may not know about yet! For travelling around the streets of Merida, we rent out sturdy mountain bikes. ADDRESSHostal del Peregrino Calle 51 # 488 por 54 y 56 centro Merida, Mexico DIRECTIONSDirections from the airport: As you exit the airport, turn right onto Avenida Itzaes. Continue north until you reach Calle 59 (at the far end of the Merida Centennial Zoo, which will be on your right hand side). Turn right on Calle 59 and continue to Calle 56. Turn left onto Calle 56 to Calle 51. Turn right to Calle 51, and Hostal del Peregrino will be the blue house on your right. Most times of the day, you will be able to park on the street. If you don't find parking, double park and send someone in to our front desk. We'll find you a place in our parking lot. Directions from the ADO bus station: Upon leaving the station, turn left and walk straight ahead to Calle 61. Turn right on Calle 61, and continue walking past the Zocalo. At Calle 56, turn left. Continue to Calle 51. Turn right on Calle 51, and Hostal del Peregrino is the large blue building on your left. Directions from the Fiesta Americana bus station: Upon leaving the bus station, go towards the Fiesta Americana. Just beyond the hotel is the Paseo de Montejo, one of Merida's main avenues. Turn right on Paseo de Montejo and proceed south to the end. If you are in a car, turn right at the roundabout and then left on Calle 58. Proceed to Calle 55. Turn left on Calle 55 to Calle 56. Turn left on Calle 56 to Calle 51. Turn right on Calle 51, and Hostal del Peregrino is the blue house on your right. If you are walking, turn left at the roundabout to Calle 56. Turn right on Calle 56 and proceed down to Calle 51. Turn left on Calle 51 and Hostal del Peregrino will be the blue house on your right. Taking a Taxi: Just ask your taxi driver to take you to the corner of Calle 56 and Calle 51 in the Centro. In Spanish, that looks like: "La esquina de Calle Cinquenta y seis y Calle Cinquenta y uno en el Centro". |
