Property Description

San Francisco's Globe Hostel is a comfortable, modern and friendly international hostel in the heart of San Francisco's SOMA (South of Market) nightclub district, a hip, central location just off Folsom Street between 7th and 8th Streets. Minutes away from some of San Francisco's best restaurants, shopping, and incredible nightlife.

Our lounge offers free internet access, a pool table, a stereo, and a television (with a small but growing collection of quirky and fun films.) Free breakfast is served daily from 0900 - 1100, and fridays and saturdays we have free dinner parties that always involve wine and cocktails. Plus, we've got a rooftop sundeck with tanning chairs and spectacular views!

The neighbourhood offers some great opportunities for dining (and drinking), all within 5 minutes' walking distance or less. Cassidy's Irish Pub is housed in our very own building.

Here's a sampling of restaurants on our block:
TRIPTYCH: A fresh, modern take on some of the world's classic dishes, served in a space that is more art gallery than typical restaurant. Plus, they have a disco bathroom!
BASIL: Simply put, the best Thai food in America.
BRAINWASH: Wash your clothes, eat dinner, drink beer, and watch live music in one place. Their coffee is great for those mornings after...

With a great, central location in a fun neighbourhood, convenient proximity to San Francisco's public transit (bus and light rail), and our knowledgable international staff, you'll find it easy to make the most of your time in the city.

Standard rooms have only 4-5 beds and have their own complete bathrooms with shower and tub. We also have rooms for large groups, as well as female-only dorms.

The hostel's reception is open 24 hours with a staff member available to answer any questions and make your stay a more enjoyable one.

Proof of international travel needed. We only accept cash or traveller's cheques.
