room got up graded so we had our own bathroom woo hoo! walls were very thin so could hear when people came in late at night, but apart from that pretty good place to stay, clean had a tv large room ideal for budget travellers

Even though this rating seems poor, the Sun Bright Hotel is exactly what you pay for. It's one of the cheapest places you'll find in the city, and if you just want a bed for the night, it's perfect. Yes, the walls are thin, but its not unbearable since you get a private room and aren't listening to the conversations of others in a hostel dorm room. the bathrooms are clean enough and the sheets are clean enough. nothing special, but not bad. you even get a TV in your room which has all movie channels basically. Overall, i'd suggest staying here if you want a location right next to Little Italy and the subway and something that's cheap. it's nothing special, but it suited our needs and we felt pretty safe as two girls traveling alone.

Generally clean, but need to remove the hair from pughole and dust from extractor fans. Thanks

This hostel looked nice on the web, but the reality was something else. First they had arranged our room to a different location, on the next block. Well this wasn't that bad, but the hostel wasn't really that nice. We had double private room, and the size of the room was just bigger than the bed in it. Room was quite dirty, it clearly wasn't cleaned for a while, under the bed was horrible. Apart from the cleanliness this hostel was ok. Well, I wasn't completely satisfied for the price-quality relation. Location is good, in the heart of chinatown. I won't go here again for these rates.

The hotel was well maintained and the staff was friendly. However, we faced problems with the internet connection. We thought there was free wifi, but they charge $6/hr. Also the television showed just 3 channels with poor connectivity. Drinking water was not available freely we had to buy a .5l bottle for 1 dollar every time. Overall, it is a good place for students and those on budget to stay and in a very good location.

Paper thin walls meant we audibly witnessed a couple involved in a threesome with a transvestite, and the marital fallout that resulted. The whole episode lasted from 11pm until about 4am ,so not lot of sleep for us. A rather obscure notice in the reception area said that minimum time charged would be 3hours.We only noticed that as we checked out!

There was not record of my reservation until my third day there. I was charged for a double because Hostelworld\'s system said they only had a double available eventhough when I arrived there was no reservation on record and I said I wanted to register as a single in a single room. The site said a single room had a double bed, but when I went to pay, the clerk and manager said that single rooms have a single bed and are smaller. They also said they had to charge for what was listed on the Hostelworld reservation, eventhough that reservation did not come through until the day I was leaving, a Thursday after checking in on Sunday evening and being told that Sunday morning by phone that they did have a reservation. I don\'t think they even looked. But I was glad to have a room in spite of the missing reservation and they did give me one night free because of the mixup. But it was still more out of pocket than I had expected. I will say all of this controversy was conducted in a congenial manner and the staff was very helpful otherwise. You do have to wait sometimes for the bathroom. And the floor of the bathroom was sometimes a little muddy because of splashed water and dirty shoes. But it was clean otherwise.

Although listed on Hostelworld, this place is not a hostel. It is a really dodgy hotel that actually has prices for part day stays. It's true, the walls are super thin and it's very noisy at all hours of the night. During my stay a couple next to me had a huge argument and it culminated in her storming out, and him hosting a hooker later in the evening, then her coming back and the argument continuing! Don't stay here!

Very noisy, I booked a room with 3 beds only to get a room with a double and a single, luckily they had another room so we got an extra single. Walls are really thin, aircon is noisy and there was a lot of yelling going on in reception in the middle of one night........not sure that I would return. If it wasnt for sleeping pills I probably wouldnt have slept!!
