We are walking distance of both the bus and train stations as well as the world famous San Diego Zoo, Sea Port Village, Embarcadero, Little Italy and Balboa Park. We've got everything you're looking for in a hostel! Great rooms - The comfortable mattresses and sturdy bunks will ensure you a good night's rest while the bright décor makes the rooms comfortable and inviting. Lots of common space - In addition to our kitchen with attached dining area and internet room, we have a large, comfortable lounge where our staff members are always organizing parties and activities. The best service - Our well informed, helpful staff members are travellers from all over the world who want to make sure that you enjoy San Diego as much as all of us do! Kitchen Facilities - The large kitchen is fully equipped with oven, stove, refrigerator and freezer, microwave and toaster and stocked with dishware and cooking utensils. For those of you who don't fancy making your own dinner, the staff make cheap evening meals six nights a week. Cleanliness! - Our cleaners scrub, vacuum and mop every room of the hostel daily! (I check up after them everyday!) Fun - The staff are always planning parties, leading tours and organizing beach barbeques! Our Tijuana, Mexico walking tour leaves the hostel every Saturday at 11am and our Pub Crawl goes out every Wednesday at 8 pm. To check in you will need to present one of the following types of identification: A valid foreign passport, a Canadian driver's license or a current out of state college ID with out-of-state government issued id (driver's license, etc). You may also be asked to provide proof of current international travel. People under the age of 16 are not permitted to stay in dorm rooms. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or chaperone. Mixed dorms are reserved for couples or siblings travelling together. Couples must reserve two beds. ADDRESSUSA Hostels San Diego 726 5th Avenue San Diego, USA DIRECTIONSFrom Greyhound: Exit station onto Broadway and turn left, walk 4 blocks until you come to 5th Avenue, turn right and walk 2 1/2 blocks down 5th Avenue. You will see a row of international flags hanging from our building. Our front door is between two Itlian restaurants. From Amtrak: Exit station onto Kettner Boulevard and turn right. At Broadway (1/2 block) turn left and follow above directions. Driving: From I-5 South take Front Street exit. Exit ramp divides, keep right on Front Street ramp. Take Front street to G Street, turn left onto G. Take G six blocks to 5th Avenue, turn left onto 5th, we are the third door in from the corner - between two Italian restaurants. From I-5 North take J Street exit. Bear left at 19th Street and turn left onto Market Street. Take Market 14 blocks to 5th Avenue. Turn right onto 5th, the hostel is one block up on the right hand side, between two Italian restaurants. Please keep in mind our reception is closed from 2:00 to 07:00am Sunday through Thursday and 2:30 to 7:00 am Friday and Saturday.
