Cabinas Algebra is located 1,5 km north of the Centre of Cahuita, 100m to Long Beach and 400m to Black Beach.

We offer 2 spacious cabins, comfortable for 2 to 6 people, each one equipped with kitchen, shower (hot water) and bathroom, also one double room with private bathroom.

Suitable also for groups and families with children.

The Cabinas Algebra are located in a quiet tropical garden behind the restaurant, close to the beach.

Our Restaurant Bananas is open daily for breakfast, snacks, sandwiches, fresh salads and local Caribbean kitchen.

Besides fish, chicken and meat dishes you will discover a variety of tropical vegetables and exotic fruits. We would be pleased to show you how to prepare the delicious coconut sauce and the traditional way to cook rice and beans.

DIRECTIONS

How to find us:
You can reach Cahuita by car from San José via route 32. The road passes through National Parc Braullio Carillo, Guapiles, Limón to Cahuita. At the first entrance to Cahuita you will find our sign saying “Cabinas Algebra & Restaurant Bananas”.
Turn left and after 500 m again to the left, after 50m we are in front of “Hotel La Diosa”.
You also can reach Cahuita easily by directbuses. They leave San José at 6 am, 10 am, 12 am, 2 pm and at 3.30 pm. We meet all our guests personally at the bus stop.
There are also minivans which travel from hotel to hotel.

Personally, you can't beat the location, the whole town is literally feet from the beach. The cabinas are a little out of town, but luckily, they have 2 bikes for rent at $3 per person, per day, which make it fun to travel around the area. The owners of the cabinas were very friendly and helpful and they picked us up and dropped us off at the bus stop. The only thing is that due to the hot and humid conditions, things were a little sticky in the room. The sheets and towels didn't seem to be so fresh and there is but a tiny fan to keep you cool. The property is nice and they have a little restaurant too, so that is a plus.

There are only three cabins at this hostel, but they were amazing. The restaurant had some of the most delicious food I ate in Costa Rica. The staff was incredibly accomodating - they drive us into town/bus stop/etc. The bathrooms - and rooms, in general - were super spacious and a short walk from the "downtown" area.
